In order for us to live deeper, more fulfilling, authentic lives, we have to connect. To ourselves, to others, but most importantly, in an honest, wholehearted way.
On Saturday, January 30th, Grow and KimRothArt.com will launch a new series of 2-hour art workshops that get at the root of wholehearted living by first unpacking, through art medium, what’s covering up our most wholehearted selves.
The workshop, called De-Armouring Our Hearts Through Art, is a combination art and mindfulness class about exposing our armor, the pieces that keep us quiet, small and disconnected, to access and uncover the wholehearted person we want to be. Using Brené Brown’s work on shame resiliency, vulnerability, and wholeheartedness, we’ll tap into into the place where true authenticity lives, creativity.
We’ll talk about what it means to be armored-up, ways, means and whys we add to the artillery, and start to explore what that armor looks like in our own lives. Then, we’ll explore what lies beneath through art expression and create ways to live more honestly, wholeheartedly, and connected with ourselves and others.
This first workshop, De-Armouring Our Hearts Through Art, will be held January 30th, 2016 from 6pm-8pm at Kim Roth’s Art Studio. Cost of the workshop is $65.
